• AMPHINATE powder contains Echinacea purpurea (Asteraceae) that is well known by its immune stimulant effect, related to its alkamides and polysaccharides content, activating neutrophils, macrophages, polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN), and natural killer (NK) cells. Echinacea purpurea also has powerful anti-inflammatory effect attributed to the inhibition of COX‑1 and COX‑2 by alkamides. The antioxidant and free radical‑scavenging activity of Echinacea purpurea is related to their cichoric acid contents. E. purpurea has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral actions shown by its inhibitory effect on growth of Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
• AMPHINATE powder contains Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) that is well known by its powerful antioxidant effect attributed to its richness in isoprenoid quinones, which act as chain terminators of free radicals, and as chelators of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
